Shipping & Return Policies

As all our products are made to order, please allow up to 5-10 business days to process your order.

UPS is our shipping provider. Once the carrier picks up the package, it typically takes 2-3 business days to receive your order depending on location. Southeast orders may take 1-2 days to arrive. West Coast orders typically take 2-3 days. An email notification with tracking information will be sent to you when your packages have shipped.

We do not ship to PO Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses. Pastry Babies is not responsible for delayed, unclaimed, undelivered, or returned orders due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses or delays caused by any carrier due to weather or other causes that we are unable to control.

International Shipping

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot offer international shipping.

If you are not satisfied with your order, you may return products in their original, unopened packaging for a refund.  However, return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer. We cannot accept returns for packages that are already opened.

We take great care in packaging our products for shipment, but unfortunately,  can’t guarantee what happens to the packages once they leave our hands. If a package is damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and we will work with you to resolve the situation.

Tempered Chocolate

Our chocolate couverture (the chocolate covering on our pastry products) is made with E. Gittard 55% dark chocolate. The chocolate is tempered before we dip the pastry into the chocolate. Tempering is the process of heating and cooling dark chocolate that changes the way the molecules (crystals) of the chocolate align. It gives the chocolate a shiny coating and a harder surface so it snaps when you break it. Chocolate needs to stay within a range of temperatures and humidity in order to keep its temper. During shipment, the box goes through different ranges of humidity and temperature which can take the chocolate out of temper. Sometimes the chocolate can look more grey or cloudy and may be softer to the touch. If you receive a chocolate covered product in shipping and the chocolate is a bit dull and soft to the touch, or the chocolate has little spots on it (blooms) there is no need to be concerned. The chocolate has simply gone out of temper, but is fine and will taste great.
